Chantal Kayem is a SIRA (State Insurance Regulatory Authority) accredited psychologist who specialises in providing psychological assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation support for individuals with NSW Workers Compensation (WorkCover) and Compulsory Third Party (CTP) claims. She works with clients who have sustained physical or psychological injuries as a result of a workplace incident or motor vehicle accident and require evidence-based support to recover, rebuild confidence and return to meaningful work and life roles.
Chantal has extensive experience working with anxiety, trauma, adjustment difficulties, burnout, stress, overwhelm and pain-related psychological distress, which commonly arise following workplace injuries or motor vehicle accidents. Her therapeutic approach is warm, practical and structured, integrating Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based strategies and self-care planning to help clients regain a sense of safety, stability, and control.
Chantal is committed to helping her clients:
- Manage the psychological impact of injury, pain, and prolonged recovery
- Build resilience, reduce mental load and improve coping skills
- Address self-confidence issues and unhelpful thinking patterns that often emerge after an injury
- Navigate complex emotional responses such as worry, overthinking, fear, anger, grief or loss of identity
- Gradually and confidently prepare for return-to-work or alternative pathways when needed
Her goal is to provide evidence-based, compassionate care that empowers clients to recover both psychologically and functionally, while feeling supported throughout the workers compensation or CTP process.
